NETFORGE: The Grid, privacy policy

Effective 5 November 2026. Publisher: G8DR1CH Studio. Package: com.g8dr1ch.netforge.

NETFORGE: The Grid plays fully offline. When the device is online, the game sends anonymous gameplay analytics to GameAnalytics and shows ads from Google AdMob (both described below); nothing else leaves the device without an account. It offers one optional purchase, REMOVE ADS. It does not read location, contacts, photos or other files.

What stays on the device

Settings (music and effects volume, vibration, calmer motion, colour shapes, AXON and virus colours), records, lesson flags, achievements, episode stars, daily bests, SYNAPSE points and AXON skills, the pieces heard in LISTEN, whether REMOVE ADS was bought, and a random player id are stored in the device's local app storage (Unity PlayerPrefs). Erasing progress in Settings clears the progress but keeps the settings and REMOVE ADS; uninstalling the game removes everything. Vibration uses the device's vibration motor only.

Gameplay analytics

To see how runs go and where the game is too hard or too easy, the game sends these events to GameAnalytics (GameAnalytics ApS), whether or not the player signs in:

DataWhy
A random analytics id created on the device, with a session number and session idCounts players and sessions without knowing who they are
Session start and end times, Android version, game versionSession length and which versions are in use
Runs started and ended in each mode: how the run ended and the scoreDifficulty and balance
Which screens are opened, which pieces are played in LISTEN and for how long, settings changed, lessons completed, achievements earned, AXON skills unlocked, ads shown or watched, whether REMOVE ADS was bought, and whether an account is signed in or out (not who)How the game is used, to decide what to improve

The analytics id is not linked to the account, the email address or any advertising id. The device model and manufacturer are not sent. As with any internet request, GameAnalytics receives the device's IP address. GameAnalytics processes this data on the publisher's behalf; its own policy is at gameanalytics.com/trust/privacy-notice. Uninstalling the game removes the analytics id from the device.

Ads

The game shows ads from Google AdMob (Google LLC): a full-screen ad at most once every four minutes when leaving a result screen for the menu, never in the first ten minutes after install and never during play, and rewarded ads that a player chooses to watch (double SYNAPSE after a win, a second chance after a loss, extra energy once per endless haze board, and 60 more seconds once per SURGE round). After a SURGE round in which a rewarded ad was watched, and after a player's first SURGE round, no full-screen ad follows. Rewarded ads are never offered on the daily and weekly grids.

To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares with Google the device's IP address (from which a general location may be estimated), device identifiers including the Android advertising id and app set id, interactions such as app launches, taps and video views, and diagnostic information such as launch time. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and the UK), the game first shows Google's consent message, and ads are personalised only with consent. The advertising id can be reset or deleted in the device's Android settings. Google's use of this data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

The REMOVE ADS purchase

REMOVE ADS is a one-time purchase that stops the full-screen ads; rewarded ads stay available to choose. It is bought through Google Play, which handles the payment under Google's own terms; the game never sees card or payment details. The game keeps only the fact that it was bought, on the device and, for a signed-in player, in the cloud save.

What is collected, only when a player signs in

Signing in is optional. A player who opens the Account screen and signs in provides:

DataWhyWhere
Email addressSign-in by a six-digit code sent to that address, or by Sign in with Google, which passes the Google account's email addressSupabase authentication (project region Singapore)
Account id (assigned by Supabase)Links the cloud save and daily scores to the accountSupabase
Save text (the on-device data listed above)Cloud save, so progress survives a new deviceSupabase saves table, readable only by its owner
Daily run: move log, score, display name (only while the daily leaderboard is switched on; it is off in the current release)The verify service replays the moves and keeps the verified best score for that dayVerify service host, best score stored in the Supabase daily_scores table

The display name is the part of the email address before the @. The daily leaderboard is public: anyone using the game can see display names and scores for a day. The full email address is never shown on the leaderboard.

All traffic to Supabase and the verify service uses HTTPS. These providers process the data on the publisher's behalf and do not use it for their own purposes. Account data is not sold or shared with advertisers or other third parties; the data the ads SDK sends to Google is described under Ads.

Retention and deletion

Account data is kept until the account is deleted. In the game, Account > Delete account removes the sign-in record, the cloud save and every leaderboard entry tied to the account (the database deletes them together). Signing out keeps the account and stops syncing. A player who can no longer open the game can request deletion by email at the contact below.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and the account feature is not meant for them. If the publisher learns that a child under 13 created an account, the account is deleted.

Changes

Changes to this policy are published at the same address with a new effective date.
